Wednesday 7th Opening day of the Wetherspoons beer festival; beer tasting event start 7.30pm at William Webb Ellis, Twickenham. Up to 12 beers form the 30 in the festival - free samples for tasting and then a free pint of your favourite. Sunday 6th - Robb Johnson returns to the Cross Lances with a full band this time. Another event organised by our member Giulietta Cinque. Details tbc.

Monday 14th - German Christmas Meal 7:00pm; The Northumberland Arms, 11 London Road, Brentford, TW8 8JB. Tickets: only £10 - includes your meal and first pint.

The evening will include the following:

• A typical bierkeller meal – currywurst, chips and sauerkraut
• A range of German speciality beers; a Kolsch and Weissbier on tap and bottles of different Dusseldorf Altbiers
• English real ales on hand pump
• A bottled beer Secret Santa
• A continental beer quiz
